I will walk on THIS water..

My prayer this morning sounded like this. God, give us the grace to walk this out. <pause, pause>  I know…. you have already given it to us. God, thank you for the grace to walk this out.

There’s been quite a few things pulling on my feelings lately. Waiting periods get to me the most because you have more time to think. Some days I’d rather be too busy to think!  New endeavors usually start out with high hopes full of bliss, blinding us from the dark clouds ahead. When sunny skies turn dark, hints of fear and doubts of our decisions weigh in. “Did I miss God?”

When you begin to think you have missed it, that’s the perfect time to in-act your faith.                                                                            The grace to live  comes when we believe God {trust}

It’s only natural to have feelings, but its important to take them captive with the understanding of who God is. what im saying is, when we fully trust that God is in control of our lives, {has influence, authority, power, control}, we are to place everything under Him based on who we know Him to be.  Our thoughts are not His thoughts, nor are our ways remotely close to His ways.

If you know anything about water, it’s a rare thing when it is still.  Often times Jesus is referred to as living water, and stillness, or peace.  So when the water we are passing through appears to be extremely rough, or cautionary, we have to take our thoughts off of the pounding waves, and place them on the one who can bring a stillness with one word. I’m learning he doesn’t always calm the waves, but He calms me to walk on them.  The battle is relinquishing our minds to abide…to abide in Him.

What I want to get at is, waters rise and rage, water can be tumlutous, waters can be overwhelming, even give us the sense that we are drowning and being overtaken.  Let the waves be a reminder that God is our GOOD Shepherd,engaged with us and forever working on our behalf.  If we stay close to Him, He leads us in stillness when everyone is hitting the panic button.

I am determined, I WILL WALK ON THIS WATER!

Join with me in getting our eyes off the natural and walk with our eyes wide open in FAITH.

Isaiah 43:2 is my favorite verse.
