I love the beginning of a new year, especially a new decade. For me, it is a new chapter and a clean slate!
Last year was bittersweet, but those morsels do make the best cookies:) And that’s exactly what this year is going to be, a turn-out year! For all the ingredients we were handed, I have a batch of things coming up that should give off a sweet aroma.
My ever so sweet husband bumped me up to first class last night on the flight home while he sat in the back of the plane with the kids. He’s a keeper, I know! So, while being waited on hand and foot, I made a few lists of resolutions for myself, and our family:)
Just a few are earlier bedtimes and earlier risings, better organization, stricter budgets, less junk intake and more time for creativity. And I have got to become a stricter enforcer of chores and tidiness! I have vowed to them, this will be a year of teamwork!
To be more consistant with devotions, YouVersion.com is a great tool for kids to get started on bible reading plans. I use it myself. I love that You can set up accountability with yourself or a partner to ensure you get your reading time in. Which is cool for me, as I will be the kids accountability partner and receive the email personally if they miss a day.
So, here’s to a new year full of good intentions!
