I’m not talking about current events! I’m talking about rejoicing in the Lord always and then again rejoicing~(to take pleasure, have joy, or delight in your salvation).
It’s easy to get down these days and plenty of reasons to, but you have to stay determined to keep your mind fixed on Christ and His ability to be all that you need. You can lean on a strength that is not your own.
2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not us”.
You and I are the earthen vessels and Christ is the treasure in us. We must not get frustrated when we see our “earthiness”. Instead of getting frustrated or discouraged by feelings of jealousy, distrust, bitterness, depression, or defeat, begin to thank God for the treasure of strength in you to overcome.
The more you acknowledge that treasure in you, the more you will reflect Christ. If you become bitter with the way people treat you, then you just simply reflect bitterness. Thank God for his love that is in you, that you may love those that don’t know how to love you.
When our actions reflect Christ, only God gets the glory.
Get your mind off of what you think and get it on what God thinks.
