What a great day to start, sleeping in, the sound of downpour, blueberry coffee, going out for breakfast with the fam, a mean waitress. Bob Evan’s is not my favorite place to eat, but it is only about a mile from our house so we frequently go there for breakfast. There is this one section that I dread to sit in but I havn’t quite mananged to keep that in the forefront of my thoughts until we are seated! Then its just too late and I remember how much I hate it when the waitress arrives. AGH! Its always like a needle in my backside cuz I realize Im stuck to deal!
Here we are seated in this section AGAIN, and I just wanna pound my head that I can’t remember to ask for another area in the restuarant! I see her coming, yet another waitress steps in. Well, to make a long story short, it must be this section! A little meaner than the other waitress, I began to question myself, Lord, is it me? I started to survey my boys and our behavior but it just doesn’t add up. I realized we were the youngest family there and we always are surrounded by gray hairs. Kids do required a little more work, here I am guessing why someone who serves people can’t find a way to be nicer. I could see Trent’s face steaming after a few things were becoming more frustrating. He was about to summon a manager over till we decided to take the high road and bless the waitress. The bible does say bless those who mistreat you. I knew I had a twenty dollar bill in my wallet so I tipped her with it. We had a very small bill so this was 5 times more than her 15%. I could have shared with her my frustration but all that is required of me is to bless her. I think she will wonder why I gave her that much tip. I was to the point of wanting to pass out twenties to them all telling them to be nice!
Anyway, Im back home now to enjoy the hurricane weather and enjoy the blessing of not being able to leave!
